Consequences of COVID-19 for BigO data collection

BigO collects data from children through school projects and clinics in different European countries. As all the BigO countries are currently taking measures by closing schools and switching to online education, no new data collection attempts will be started in the coming weeks. Children that are already collecting data for BigO can continue to do so. The supportive teams of the projects can still be reached. We know that lifestyles are different under the current conditions, but you do not have to be afraid that this will damage our data collection. Actually, collection of dietary habits under these conditions are of interest to the scientific world and public health institutes.

We wish all the participating schools and clinics all the best we hope that the situation will soon improve.
